Lyreleaf Sage

Salvia lyrata, commonly known as Lyreleaf Sage is a native perennial of Central to East Texas that makes a great ground cover that can stand up to mowing and being walked on. It grows 1-2' high and spreads around 1'.  It can also be grown in container gardens, a very versatile plant! It grows well in dry shady areas but can tolerate full sun. It blooms showy blue flowers from March-June that attract hummingbirds and butterflies. The flowers form a great landing platform for bees.
