Rudbeckia hirta, commonly known as Black-Eyed Susan is an annual herbaceous plant native to Texas, that grows 1-2' high and spreads 1-2'. It has beautiful daisy-like flowers that are bright yellow with a dark center, from which it gets its name. It blooms from March to November and attracts pollinators like butterflies and bees. It also attracts birds that enjoy its seeds. It prefers sun, but can potentially bloom longer with some shade in the afternoon.
